The Appearance of God in the form of a Man in the Hebrew Scriptures
Can You See God?
There is a figure who appears throughout the Law and the Prophets. He is sometimes referred to as the Angel of the Lord, sometimes as God Himself, sometimes as “one like the Son of Man,” and often with no name at all. Understanding who this figure is represents a challenge to our most fundamental concepts about God and the Messiah.
Seeing the connection between the Angel of the Lord in the Tanakh (Hebrew Scriptures) and the figure of Yeshua (Jesus) in the New Covenant is challenging to both the Christian and Jewish worldviews. This book is meant to be equally challenging to both sides, in a balanced way, forming a bridge to both Jewish and Christian understanding.
The primary purpose of this book is to describe the appearances of God and the nature of the Messiah as found in the Scriptures. We desire that truth above all others. This book also has three secondary purposes:
1. Deepening the Jewish roots of the Christian faith. 2. Describing who Yeshua is from the Hebrew Scriptures. 3. Demonstrating the consistency of the Bible from beginning to end.
